Cookie Cutter Care
Tips on how to look after your cookie cutters
If you look after your cookie cutters they will last for a very long time, giving you years of fun and enjoyment (I still have some of my grandmother's cookie cutters that I use). See your cookie cutters as an investment that can be handed down to the next generation!
Tinplate cookie cutters should not be submersed in water or washed in the dishwasher. Simply wipe off with damp cloth. In situations where it is required to sanitize them, wash in warm soapy water and quickly hand dry. Put somewhere warm to thoroughly dry.
Colour coated cookie cutters are rust resistant, dishwasher safe and can be submersed in water.
Make sure that you store your cookie cutters safely so that they don't rub against each other and get scratched (i.e. don't leave them "loose" in the utensils drawer with all the other metal kitchen gadgets. Have a special container to store them.
